Description
Beautiful portrait, oil on cotton paper. This painting is a study of a details of John Waterhouses’s painting Boreas and was created as an atmospheric study of a detail from a popular fine art painting.
The original painting was named after the god of the north wind, and depicts a woman in the pre-Raphaelite-style battling the elements. I decided to paint a section of this famous painting in order to explore the beautiful composition, expresssion and lighting. This master study in oils is now available for sale.
